Just watched a TV documentary on high-end prostitution on CNBC called “Dirty Money.” While it was kinda interesting, it bothered me. I didn’t like the euphemisms that were used like “service provider” and “therapy session.” I especially didn’t like the “explanations” for why high-powered men hire prostitutes such as doing it for the thrill and the need to connect/confide with someone because their too proud to tell their secrets to their wives. Even more, looking at the whole “industry” as a “business” seemed to legitimize it as being okay, which just didn’t sit well with me. Call me old fashioned, but IMO….a whore is a whore and cheating is cheating.
